You can apply for your MN marriage license at any county government center and use it to be married in any county in MN. You can apply for it up to six months in advance. Check your local government center’s website to download a marriage license application ahead of time. Counties we often see used include: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington.
Typically, you can make an appointment to submit the application. We encourage you to verify what forms of payment the particular office you’re going to will accept. You will be responsible for bringing the license to your ceremony.
